Stichting SED Fund

The Sustainability, Equity, and Diversity (SED) Fund’s mission is to cultivate resources and leadership for an equitable energy transition by raising the ambitions of government and civil society through philanthropic support. The fund focuses on working with early-stage organizations, and with new programs in established organizations, that have unique models for just transition and climate action.

This grant supports the SED Fund in advancing equitable energy transition and climate action. SED fund has been focused on (i) catalyzing investment and evidence-based policies for energy transition (ii) crafting a climate and energy narrative shift at regional/sub-national level and (iii) focusing on just transition of communities and workers. The fund will also start a new line of work focusing on Industry sector (primarily steel and cement). The foundation’s support to SED fund will mainly focus on electricity, workforce, finance and industry workstreams.
