Overview
This grant to the Center for Advanced Study in the Social and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University will help fund a fellowship program that will develop and promote more effective climate adaptation measures. The initial case studies will focus on New York and Los Angeles and how to best protect residents from extreme weather and everyday environmental threats.

It researches and analyzes education policy issues pertaining to California’s K-12 education system, bridging the gap between research and policy. SPARQ, a research center at Stanford University, seeks to reduce societal disparities and social divides using behavioral science. This grant will support research to examine racial diversity in the financial services industry. It is expected that this information will be used to develop strategies and practices to reduce biases that contribute to racial disparities.
