Stand Up Ideas creates spaces—physical, digital and in the media—for Americans committed to preserving liberal democracy to learn from, inspire and work together to strengthen our commitment to the Constitutional Republic. Founded in 2017 by
Evan McMullin and Mindy Finn, SUI has already established itself as a leader for promoting American democracy. It’s early achievements include an inaugural annual report on the state of the republic and the creation of an annual Summit for Democracy to build collaboration across government reform stakeholders. That work expanded to convene regular working groups to address varied issues from law enforcement politicization to foreign election interference and social media’s impact on democracy.
