The Southern Education Foundation is a national leader in the civil rights and social justice fields, especially in the southern region of the United States.This organizational effectiveness grant supports their internal work to deepen awareness, knowledge, skill, and capacity about educational equity. Helping our grantees become more aware, prepared and competent around internal issues of equity will ensure that their field-focused work - and the field of education more broadly - reflects the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

for support of Brown’s Promise  
The Southern Education Foundation is the fiscal sponsor of Brown’s Promise, an effort to explore strategies to focus on ensuring all students attend racially and socioeconomically integrated schools that are well resourced, safe, and affirming and that prepare them for success. Brown’s Promise will work with state and community-based advocates across the country to do this collaborative work. (Strategy: K-12 Teaching and Learning)
