for general operating support
BCcampus supports the postsecondary institutions of British Columbia as they adopt, adapt, and evolve their teaching and learning practices to create a better experience for students. BCcampus achieves this through a supportive approach to advanced pedagogies, a focus on impactful practice, and collaboration with partners in British Columbia and around the world. The Open Education Program at BCcampus provides learning opportunities about open pedagogy, supports open access, and encourages instructional design that takes full advantage of open licenses.
for support of the BCcampus Open Textbook Project program
Created and funded by the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education, BCcampus is an organization that provides teaching, learning, educational technology, and OER support to British Columbia’s postsecondary system. BCcampus will manage the large Open Textbook Project; work to increase the number of faculty and instructors using open textbooks in British Columbia institutions and other jurisdictions; and build capacity, advocacy, and knowledge of OER in the B.C. system. This project will promote greater mainstream adoption of open textbooks in higher education.

With this grant, BCcampus will continue to increase the use of open textbooks among faculty while building capacity, advocacy, and knowledge of open education in the B.C. system.
