This grant supports the program’s plans to work within federal regulatory and state policy to advance clean trucks and buses and secure funds for EV charging infrastructure. The Sierra Club Foundation’s Beyond Coal Campaign is focused on reducing global warming emissions and other air pollutants by transitioning away from fossil-fired electricity and toward clean-energy sources in the United States. The campaign aims for a 100 percent clean electricity system by 2030 to improve air and water quality, protect land and wildlife, develop an efficient and resilient economy, and ensure that the U.S. meets and exceeds its international climate change commitments.
