Overview
In recognition of the Hewlett Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions initiative supports the creation and premiere of 50 exceptional works of performing art. This grant will support the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art in developing and presenting lead artist Stephanie Dinkins’ “Story Groves” (working title). The project will culminate in an immersive installation and virtual experience that questions the pervasive bias of data streams that shape emergent technologies.
