Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
A national leader in the presentation of multidisciplinary arts, San Francisco Performances is one of a handful of nationwide organizations that have flourished independently-without the sponsorship of a college, university, or major performing arts center. Under the artistic direction of its highly respected and well-networked founder since 1979, the organization presents internationally acclaimed and emerging performing artists in intimate settings. San Francisco Performances attracts a total audience of more than 40,000 people annually with sixty-five performances in a variety of mid-sized venues throughout San Francisco. In addition to its high-quality and adventuresome programming, the organization reaches more than 2,000 students in grades 3 through 12 through its education program.
