Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
The San Francisco Conservatory of Music educates its students to become excellent artists and generate successful careers in the ever-changing arts environment. It offers bachelor of music, master of music, and professional studies degrees for 400 students. Each year it presents 500 concerts, most of which are free of charge, to more than 32,000 people. The extension divisions and community outreach programs reach an additional 12,000 people each year. Under the leadership of its new president, renewed funding would support the institution’s plans to expand its curricular offerings, faculty, and student body; increase endowment support; and advance its plans to build a facility to house the majority of its students.
