Grants to this Grantee
for general operating support
The San Francisco Conservatory of Music provides its students with the opportunity to explore a wide range of musical and intellectual disciplines, in addition to receiving dedicated training in their chosen specialty. This new curricular approach, including a Winter Term where students immerse themselves in a special topic and bring their own projects to life, enables students to become world-class artists and generate successful careers in an ever-changing arts environment. The Conservatory’s bachelor of music, master of music, and professional studies degree programs reach 400 students each year. In addition, the Conservatory presents 500 concerts and master classes, most of which are free of charge, to more than 25,000 people. Renewed funding will support the institution’s plans to fully implement its new curricular offerings, expand the faculty and student body, and mark its centennial year in 2018.
