Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors

For The Fund For Shared Insight Donor Collaborative

Overview
Fund for Shared Insight is a funder collaborative. Our goal is that funders and nonprofits would be meaningfully more connected to each other, and to the people and communities we seek to help – and more responsive to their input and feedback. Shared Insight has grown since its inception four years ago. Today it includes 13 core funders and 65 additional funders who collectively contribute roughly $8 million each year (on average) to a pooled fund at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. To date, the fund has made 184 grants to 182 organizations totaling $21.1 million and is committed to rigorous measurement and sharing what it learns.

Grants to this Grantee
for support of Dignity.us
Dignity.us is a bipartisan citizens’ initiative to address hate-fueled violence in America, starting by listening across all states, territories, and tribal lands for insights and ideas about the challenge and path forward. They seek input from Americans of every region, race, faith, ethnicity, and ideology – spanning those who have suffered the effects of this violence; researchers and experts who have studied the problem; social innovators and advocates leading the way with bold and tested ideas; philanthropists committed to allocating resources to the implementation and scaling of those ideas; and those who have left groups affiliated with hatred and violence and become a part of the solution. They will turn their findings into a countrywide response that greatly expands the scale of effective community-based innovations — and helps to mobilize and sustain a united front that transcends differences.
