Reproductive Health Network Kenya

For General Operating Support

Overview
Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) is a network of over 500 trained health care providers across Kenya who are committed to the provision of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights to all. The providers — who include doctors, nurses, and midwives working in the private sector — work together through this network to collaborate, build capacity, and advocate together for reproductive rights. RHNK has received support from Hewlett as a subgrantee under the Center for Reproductive Rights and also as the Self-Care Trailblazer Group led by Population Services International. This will be the first direct grant to RHNK and is aligned with the Global Reproductive Equity strategy. (Strategy: Global Reproductive Equity)

for support of leadership development and governance strengthening and wellness
This organizational effectiveness grant to Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) will support leadership development and organizational strengthening during a period of significant growth and change. RHNK's budget and staff has expanded significantly in the past year and they have recently joined the International Planned Parenthood Federation as their Kenya Member Association. This grant will allow them to assess the capacity of their leaders, build management skills, work on their board's capacity and in general strength their ability to achieve their new strategic plan. There is also an allocation in this grant for wellness in furtherance of the organization’s charitable purpose.
