RadicalxChange

For Support Of The RadicalxChange Conference

Overview
The RadicalxChange Foundation aims to imagine, build, increase public awareness on, and implement bold new market mechanisms that move beyond the individualism of standard political economy. The organization supports a diverse community of artists, activists, entrepreneurs, and scholars who challenge long-established social institutions, such as private property and one-person-one-vote, in order to increase socioeconomic equality within the free market. Hewlett Foundation funding will allow RadicalxChange to convene its diverse community at a three-day conference in Detroit. Constituents across disciplines will expand free market mechanisms to reduce inequality, heal global political divides, and build a richer and more cooperative society.

Grants to this Grantee
for support of RadicalxChange's Public Outreach Initiatives
RadicalxChange Foundation reimagines the building blocks of democracy and markets in order to uphold fairness, plurality, and meaningful participation in a rapidly changing world. Through this grant, the RadicalxChange Foundation will fund its outreach and community initiatives, including its annual conference and public-focused content creation. These efforts drive popular engagement and understanding of powerful new ideas that can dramatically improve the most basic institutions in society. Quadratic voting, quadratic funding, new common ownership systems, and more may be crucial to democracy in the 21st century. Because these promising reforms cannot be imposed by experts, RadicalxChange strives to enable diverse communities to experiment and improve institutions from the ground up.
