Overview
Publish What You Fund is the global campaign for aid transparency. Founded just two years ago, the campaign has emerged as an effective champion for increasing the availability and accessibility of aid information in a comprehensive, timely, and comparable manner. The campaign promotes implementation of the International Aid Transparency Initiative data standard through a combination of advocacy and communications outreach, while also monitoring donors’ compliance with the standard. The Foundation has been one of the organization’s core contributors over the past two years as it was incubated by a partner organization. With this grant to the newly independent organization, the campaign would concentrate on ensuring not only that foreign aid resources are transparent but also that data standards are interoperable so other development funding, including domestic resources, can be aligned and used most effectively.

for general operating support
Publish What You Fund (PWYF) undertakes research and targeted advocacy to promote transparency and accountability in international development. Prior advocacy and technical support by PWYF has resulted in increased publication of aid data by donors. PWYF works to expand its transparency advocacy to development finance institutions and providers of humanitarian aid, and to engage its technical partners to improve the quality and use of aid and development finance information by governments and civil society.
