Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Speaker Series on California's Future
Founded with an endowment from William R. Hewlett in 1994, the Public Policy Institute of California is dedicated to informing and improving public policy in California through nonpartisan polling and policy research, coupled with active outreach and dissemination. In 2011, the institute began hosting a Speaker Series on California’s Future. This grant will provide support for the Speaker Series events over the next three years.
for a statewide survey series on the environment
With support from the Hewlett Foundation, the Public Policy Institute of California will conduct its fourteenth annual large-scale public opinion survey, which tracks opinion data on environmental issues in California. The poll provides well-respected, non-partisan data to advocates and decision makers and is a useful tool for influencing debates on many climate and clean energy issues that the Hewlett Foundation supports.
for a statewide survey series on the environment
A nonpartisan research organization, the Public Policy Institute of California gathers and disseminates information to guide public policy decisions by politicians, communities, and other stakeholders. It conducts surveys on topics that include the environment, education, and economic development. This grant would enable the Institute to conduct their annual survey on climate change, air pollution, and land use in 2013. Its poll has been an invaluable resource for the environmental advocacy that the Hewlett Foundation supports.
