Overview
The Princeton AlumniCorps is an independent nonprofit that seeks to build civic leadership across generations and mobilize people for the public good. Appleseed is a network of 17 public interest centers in the U.S. and Mexico that aid low-income people in building better lives. This grant will support the AlumniCorps’ operations, including a two-year immigration initiative that both organizations are partnering on called the Immigration Justice Project. The project focuses on forming an immigration collaborative to protect immigrants’ rights; their access to programs and services; and their right to due process in asylum, deportation, and other proceedings. The project will culminate in a final conference where various stakeholders will present their findings and future plans.
