Overview
This grant will enable Population Action International (PAI) to enhance locally led and owned advocacy efforts in East and West Africa with a focus on mitigating harm of the Mexico City Policy, also known as the Global Gag Rule. PAI will document the impact of funding cuts on global health efforts in Kenya, Uganda, and countries in Francophone West Africa; and strengthen local advocacy to call for government ownership of, and leadership and investment in, sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Grants to this Grantee
for Community of Practitioners on Accountability and Social Action in Health (COPASAH)
Population Action International (PAI) works to ensure universal access to quality reproductive health care, including family planning, around the world. This grant to PAI is for a project to provide technical assistance to the Community of Practitioners on Accountability and Social Action in Health (COPASAH), a network of civil society practitioners from the Global South established in 2011. The goal of this project is to shape, strengthen, and sustain a community of practitioners and allies committed to community-centered social accountability processes for quality health care.
