Population Action International (PAI) works to ensure universal access to quality reproductive health care, including family planning, around the world. This grant to PAI is for the second phase of its project to support the Community of Practitioners on Accountability and Social Action in Health (COPASAH), a network of civil society practitioners from the Global South established in 2011. for general operating support
Population Action International (PAI) and its global partners collaborate to advance the health and human rights of women, young people, and at-risk communities and strengthen a bold, diverse global sexual and reproductive health and rights movement. PAI strategically advocates for supportive U.S. policies and global actions that increase funding for and access to quality reproductive health services, information, and supplies. (Strategy: Global Reproductive Equity)
for improving government accountability for family planning services and supplies in Africa
Population Action International (PAI) works to ensure universal access to quality reproductive health care, including family planning, around the world. This grant will support PAI’s work with civil society organizations in seven countries in East and West Africa to develop a compelling, rigorous, evidence-informed approach that enables civil society-led action to hold governments accountable in delivering on family planning commitments. This grant also enables advocates to demonstrate how equitable, sustained, and/or increased funding for family planning can save lives, improve the health of people in their communities, and contribute to achieving priority development goals and commitments. (Strategy: Inclusive Governance )
