Overview
Playwrights Foundation provides artist residencies, writing workshops, staged readings, and an annual playwright’s festival to help develop playwrights at all career levels. As a respected new play development center, it also brokers producing opportunities between playwrights and theater companies in the Bay Area and around the country. Each year it serves approximately sixty-five playwrights and 3,000 members of the public. Renewed funding for Playwrights Foundation would support its goals to implement a new strategic plan, build the size of its board, and increase contributed income while maintaining its suite of services for playwrights.
