Overview
Working with American Institutes for Research, Pivot is partnering with the Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Twin Rivers school districts to implement a new funding model designed to (1) develop more equitable, transparent strategies for allocating resources to schools; (2) link those strategies to systems encouraging innovation and efficiency; and (3) strengthen accountability for student outcomes. Project results will provide evidence to help federal, state, and local policymakers and the public take action to reform education funding systems.

Pivot works with school systems to provide proactive support for students based on their learning and social and emotional needs, so all students have the opportunity to succeed. Pivot Learning Partner’s mission is to partner with educators to design and implement solutions to their greatest challenges to achieve educational justice. Their belief is that in order to achieve real improvement in student outcomes, they must collaborate with educators to design agile solutions, measure their effectiveness and potential for sustainability and scalability, and deploy them. This grant will support the development of a revised strategic business development plan.
