Pepperdine University

For Cybersecurity: Global Engagements And Partnerships

Overview
Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy (SPP) seeks to prepare public leaders across the government, nonprofit, and policy-related business sectors through a distinctive curriculum that balances analytical coursework with classes in the history of policymaking and a Great Books approach to moral leadership. This grant supports SPP in developing and enhancing its cyber-focused educational offerings, with an eye to creating a certificate program centered on cybersecurity policy and further integration of the coursework already developed into the curriculum. Key stakeholders will also explore internal, institutional partnerships to develop a bridge program for interested undergraduates to begin taking cybersecurity and other policy courses early to jump-start their graduate degree progress, helping to develop a pipeline of talent for the field. In partnership with international organizations, SPP will hold global conferences on critical contemporary issues, like NATO and Ukraine vis-à-vis cybersecurity policy. (Strategy: Talent Pipeline)
