Overview
With this general operating support grant, the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLOCAT) will continue their work in support of ambitious transformative action to decarbonize transportation globally. With the launch of a new strategic development plan, SLOCAT will focus efforts on facilitating the translation of international agendas into region-relevant implementation approaches; assessing practical solutions; and facilitating more nuanced peer dialogue and learnings among sub-national authorities, multilateral development banks, and the private sector, with the intention of increasing ambition on transport-related decarbonization policies. for the implementation of transport commitments after Paris project  
The Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport with this project grant will work to implement the transportation components of two important United Nations global agreements on climate and social equity: the Paris Climate Agreements (COP21) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They will ensure a common framework for equitable, sustainable, and low carbon urban transport is linked to the national plans for SDGs and climate agendas, and ultimately to plans and actions at the local level, specially in India and China.
