The Partnership for Public Service’s new initiative, Alliance for Congress, will champion the role of a healthy Congress in our democracy; equip members of Congress, their staff, and the broader institution with the tools and resources they need to manage and lead effectively; and strengthen connections among Congress, critical stakeholders, and the general public. It will work closely with allied organizations dedicated to strengthening Congress and building greater public support for the institution.

for general operating support
The Partnership for Public Service works to revitalize our federal government by transforming the way government works and inspiring a new generation to serve. The organization equips career and political leaders to improve government functioning and effectiveness, encourage leaders to improve the health and performance of executive and legislative branch entities, promote greater use of data to drive better decision making, build critical connections and foster collaboration within government and across sectors, and mobilize outside actors, such as business, academia, and the social sector, to encourage investments in government’s health, integrity, capacity, and performance.
for strengthening the Department of Education’s career civil service leadership capacity
The Partnership for Public Service produces an annual Best Places to Work in the Federal Government report, ranking employee satisfaction and commitment. In 2010, the Department of Education ranked thirty out of thirty-two. The Partnership proposes to work with the Department to improve its management environment and better prepare the next generation of executives for leadership. Using consultants and in-house coaching staff, the Partnership will assess the Department’s current landscape, identify appropriate interventions, create a "change management" strategy, and implement these programs effectively.
