Paris School of Economics

The World Inequality Lab, based at the Paris School of Economics, is a global research laboratory focusing on economic inequality and on policies that promote socioeconomic justice. The lab seeks to produce cutting edge, evidence-based research on the various dimensions of inequality within and between countries. It disseminates its results via World Inequality Reports, books, research articles, teaching activities, media interventions, and conferences, on all continents.

The EU Tax Observatory, a research lab of the Paris School of Economics, will conduct and disseminate innovative, high-quality research on taxation — with a focus on tax avoidance, tax evasion, and potential solutions to these problems. It will contribute to a more democratic and inclusive debate on the future of taxation, in a context of rising inequality and rapid international economic integration. The observatory will foster a dialogue between the scientific community, civil society, and policymakers in the European Union and globally. It is aiming at becoming a driving force in the development of new practical propositions to meet the fiscal challenges of the 21st century.
