Overview
The EU Tax Observatory will conduct and disseminate innovative, high-quality research on taxation — with a focus on tax avoidance, tax evasion, and potential solutions to these problems. It will contribute to a more democratic and inclusive debate on the future of taxation, in a context of rising inequality and rapid international economic integration. The observatory will foster a dialogue between the scientific community, civil society, and policymakers in the European Union and globally. It is aiming at becoming a driving force in the development of new practical propositions to meet the fiscal challenges of the 21st century.
