Grants to this Grantee
for sponsorship of GO-GN workshop at Open Education Global Conference
The Open University’s Global OER Graduate Network (GO-GN) is an international network that uses seminars and online community building to connect researchers and postgraduate scholars who are studying the design and implementation of open educational resources, polices, and practices. This conference sponsorship grant will support a workshop focused on sharing research activities to further collaboration. Outcomes include increased diversity of global representation in the network, co-design of research outputs, further consolidation of the GO-GN network as leaders in open education research, and development of a model for future events both for GO-GN and other open education communities. (Substrategy: Field Building)
for the Global OER Graduate Network
The Open University’s Global OER Graduate Network, or GO-GN, is an international network that uses seminars and online community building to connect scholars and Ph.D. students who are studying issues related to open education. The network will continue to enhance the diversity of its membership, synthesize important research findings, and sustain a community of practice. A robust research infrastructure and increased use of high-impact studies will support the effective implementation of open educational resources and practices. (Substrategy: Field Building)
for the Open University OER Research Hub
The OER Research Hub at the Open University in the United Kingdom aims to establish and raise the profile of an evidence base for OER. The hub will refine research directions for the OER field, improve the tools for building research capacity, and develop approaches for supporting the research needs of other organizations and funders working in the OER field. This work will coalesce the research base regarding OER and improve research capacity.
