Overview
The OER Research Hub at the Open University in the United Kingdom aims to establish and raise the profile of an evidence base for OER. The hub will refine research directions for the OER field, improve the tools for building research capacity, and develop approaches for supporting the research needs of other organizations and funders working in the OER field. This work will coalesce the research base regarding OER and improve research capacity.

The Open University’s Global OER Graduate Network is an international network that uses seminars and online community building to connect researchers and Ph.D. students who are studying issues related to open educational resources. The network will continue to enhance the diversity of its membership, synthesize important research findings, and sustain a community of practice. A robust research infrastructure and increased use of high-impact studies will support effective implementation of open educational resources and practices.
