Overview
This request is to support the smooth transition of two influential organizations into one and to more fully promote the adaptation, use, and production of OER among community colleges in the United States. The OpenCourseWare Consortium and the Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources both support the integration of OER into accepted teaching and learning practices in higher education. To reduce overlaps, enlarge influence, and create a cohesive program of support for institutions across the higher education landscape, these two organizations have decided to merge and leverage their strengths.
