Overview
The Open Education Consortium is a worldwide community of more than 300 educational institutions and associated organizations committed to advancing OER and its impact on global education. The consortium will advocate for OER and open education around the world, expand the audience for Open Education Week, conduct a marketing campaign for openness in education, and work to increase sustainability of the OER model. Effective policy advocacy and field-building activities will support the growth of OER infrastructure

Grants to this Grantee
for supporting culturally responsive instructional reform in California Community Colleges  
Open Education Global leads a consortium of North American community colleges called CCCOER in advancing open education to ensure equitable, inclusive, and meaningful learning experiences. With College of the Canyons, CCCOER will undertake a two-year program to support California Community Colleges in culturally responsive teaching practices through the use of OER and open pedagogy. Participating faculty will engage in a two-semester online program to learn and implement best practices for using open pedagogy to achieve inclusive classroom experiences. Faculty, students, and administrators will participate in the evaluation of the program impact. (Substrategy: Sustainable Systems)

The group works with global members, partners, and advocates to generate and advance open education policy, practices, and resources.
