This grant will support the organizational priorities of New Voices, including its work to build a stronger reproductive justice movement in Pennsylvania and Ohio, in which black women play a more central role in policy and public discourse related to reproductive justice. New Voices’ work includes community organizing and mobilization, integrated voter engagement, leadership development, and media and communications.

New Voices Pittsburgh helps build the movement for reproductive justice in the Rust Belt and at the federal level through leadership development, community organizing, and policy advocacy, with a particular focus on abortion access, Black maternal health, and gender-based mass incarceration. New Voices is the leading organization in the Rust Belt cultivating the leadership, and power of Black women to create systemic and institutional change that can end reproductive oppression.
