Overview
New America is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy institute dedicated to the renewal of American politics, prosperity, and purpose in the Digital Age. New America’s Education Policy Program will craft policy recommendations around OER, elevate dialogue on the need to change policies to support OER, and determine how OER can be used to address both financial and resource constraints in PreK–12 and higher education. This work will catalyze wider adoption of OER through supportive policy and leadership.

The entertainment-focused narrative and culture change practice at New America’s Better Life Lab seeks to influence TV and film storytelling by sharing data and research that encourage creatives to tell stories about abortion, pregnancy, and parenting in the context of people’s full lives. for bridging open education and equity in pre-K-12 learning and teaching  
New America is a nonpartisan think tank dedicated to renewing, reimagining, and realizing the promise of America in an era of rapid technological and social change. New America’s Education Policy program builds on existing efforts to elevate the importance of equity and inclusion and the role of high-quality open educational resources and practices in ensuring academic excellence and well-being for all students. This will be accomplished through research and policy analysis, case making, community building, and the development of open tools and prototypes that can be piloted in districts and communities.
