Overview
The Network of Ensemble Theaters (NET), a national service organization with 100 member companies, will host a five day Summit of Ensemble Theaters in San Francisco, CA from June 17-22, 2009. This conference will include speeches, panels, workshops, and studio time for participants to discuss the challenges of running an ensemble theater during the recession and solutions to leverage assets and further organizational missions. The typical NET member is a small ($100,000 annual budget) to midsize ($500,000) company and Hewlett project support will subsidize registration fees for 35 Bay Area ensemble theater groups (including 4 current Hewlett grantees) and enable the conference organizers to provide day-care services so participants with children can engage more deeply in the summit events.
