Grants to this Grantee
for support of the Zika Contraception Access Network
This grant will permit the Centers for Disease Control Foundation to support the Puerto Rican Zika Contraception Access Network, an island-wide network of health care providers trained to provide women with client-centered contraceptive counseling and access to the full range of contraceptive methods at no cost. The Zika virus is spreading rapidly in Puerto Rico and there is an urgent public health need to prevent pregnancy among women who choose to delay or avoid pregnancy as a strategy to reduce adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes. This project responds to this need by making the full-range of contraceptives available at no cost.
