Grants to this Grantee
for strategic planning
This grant would enable Digital Promise to engage in a strategic planning process.
for the design, building, and distribution of a system for teacher micro-credentials
Digital Promise (the National Center for Research in Advanced Information and Digital Technology) is a nonprofit focused on expanding the opportunity to learn. It will work with pre-service and in-service educator development programs and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards to disseminate a set of deeper learning micro-credentials to current and aspiring educators; develop new deeper learning-aligned micro-credentials in partnership with Educators Rising; and tell the stories of educators earning micro-credentials. The project supports the Education Program’s commitment to increasing the focus on deeper learning within educator preparation pathways.
for the design, build, and distribution of a system for teacher credentialing via badging
The National Center for Research in Advanced Information and Digital Technology, also called Digital Promise, is a nonprofit organization authorized by Congress to spur innovation in education. With Hewlett Foundation support, Digital Promise will develop and scale its micro-credentials initiative. The goal is to make teacher professional development more personalized and focused on mastery of competencies that teachers need to engage students in deeper learning. This initiative advances the Foundation’s priorities by supporting and rewarding teachers who improve their deeper learning practice.
