Overview
The Rural Investment to Protect our Environment project, fiscally sponsored by Multiplier, seeks to cultivate a coalition of agricultural and environmental groups to advance comprehensive climate solutions that can secure rural and urban support. The project will work with rural interests and agricultural commodity associations to formulate policy solutions that address climate and rural economic development opportunities. The project will also promote agricultural solutions, such as farming practices that mitigate or sequester greenhouse gases and that increase agricultural productivity. Grants to this Grantee
for Menlo Spark
Menlo Spark, a fiscally sponsored project of Multiplier, is a community project started in 2015 to explore opportunities to promote long-term economic vitality, equality, and quality of life in Menlo Park, California, while addressing the threat of climate change. The goal is for the city of Menlo Park to become climate neutral by 2030 and serve as a model for other U.S. cities of similar size. Menlo Spark focuses on the following key strategies: zero-carbon community choice energy; clean transportation, including electric vehicle infrastructure; and carbon free buildings. for the Clean Grid Initiative
The path to achieving 100% clean energy runs through our electricity transmission infrastructure, but the antiquated U.S. power grid is currently a barrier to realizing a net-zero emissions economy. The Clean Grid Initiative, a project of Multiplier, is a centralized hub for strategic leadership, coordination, and grantmaking that raises ambition and expands capacity for unlocking transmission solutions at the state, regional, and national levels.
