Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA) is a grassroots organization of Latina immigrant women that promotes personal transformation and builds community power for social and economic justice. Headquartered in San Francisco’s historic Women’s Building, MUA creates an environment of understanding and confidentiality for its members. Through training and education, MUA also seeks to build its members’ economic security and leadership skills. MUA works in collaboration with local and national organizations and organizes campaigns for increased rights for immigrants, workers, and women.
