Montana Wilderness Association works with hikers and horsemen, snowmobilers and timber workers, ranchers and native communities, locally elected officials and career conservationists — all joining together to establish common ground and advance conservation solutions. The organization educates the public, press, and policymakers about public lands, and works to protect wildlife corridors and clean water, build and maintain trails, and increase public support for parks and trails. The Association and its partners aim to protect another 2.4 million acres by 2024. (Western Conservation Substrategy: Advance Conservation Protections.)
