Overview
Marin Theatre Company is a mid-sized, year-round professional regional theater serving the Marin County communities. The company reaches more than 36,000 people annually by producing a diverse season of between five and seven classic and contemporary plays, often including a commissioned world premiere. The organization is nurturing the next generation of theater artists through a variety of arts education activities, including in- and after-school programs for local students. Renewed support would assist Marin Theatre Company as it strives to strengthen its professional productions, build upon the success of its education programs, and engage a broader spectrum of the Marin community.

Marin Theatre Company is a regional theater that offers a season of four main stage productions each year. The organization commissions, develops, and presents new American plays, regularly including the work of female playwrights and playwrights of color who have historically been under-represented in American theater. Each year, the company reaches 30,000 people, including more than 3,000 students who participate in its theater education programs. A grant to Marin Theatre Company advances the Performing Arts Program’s Communities strategy.
