Overview
Magical Bridge Playgrounds are known to be the most innovative and inclusive playgrounds, welcoming visitors of all abilities, disabilities, sizes, and ages — including those living with physical and cognitive disabilities, autism, hearing and visual impairments, and sensory challenges; the medically fragile; and even aging populations. With an underlying message of kindness, these playgrounds remove the physical and social barriers of typical playgrounds through their mindful design, which addresses the unique needs of an entire community. This grant will support the stage and playhouse of a new all-inclusive Magical Bridge Playground project to be located at Rengstorff Park in Mountain View. The playground was announced in January 2018 and is expected to open in 2020.
