Overview
The Kennebunkport Climate Initiative is a nonpartisan, solutions-based organization facilitating local, tangible solutions to the global climate crisis. It aims to educate, empower, and activate high school and college-aged youth to engage political, business, and community leaders around climate action. The initiative’s goal is to activate 10 million youth by 2025 using two core offerings. Their Learning Lab educational modules on renewable energy, invasive species, and sea level rise can seamlessly fit any educator’s existing curriculum and culminate in an action project. Their Clubs and Coalitions policy toolkits can jump-start climate clubs in communities where they are needed most. This grant will provide flexible support.
