for analysis, forums, and dissemination of research and models of policy innovation
Jobs for the Future designs education and career pathways and promotes their adoption. In the past, the organization has aggregated and disseminated to the policy community the evidence base that undergirds deeper learning. Building on this work, the organization will convene a national summit, host three related state summits, and document and disseminate innovative local and state models of holistic assessment systems, focusing particularly on classroom-based formative assessment. The deeper learning movement will benefit from taking stock of the progress to date in establishing an evidence base, analyzing advances in policy design, and improving assessments to include formative measures of deeper learning outcomes.
