Overview
The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival uses film to explore the diversity of the Jewish people. Best known for its annual summer festival that attracts 30,000 people to more than sixty films in at least seven Bay Area venues, the organization also delivers programs that target young adults, seniors, and filmmakers year-round. Following three years of financial and administrative challenges and a leadership transition in late 2011, SFJFF is beginning to show signs that it is growing more stable and strong. An organizational effectiveness grant would help SFJFF to continue to strengthen its capacity by engaging in a participatory planning and learning process about how it can effectively gather audience data and feedback to help guide its artistic and administrative decision making.
