Overview
Jamestown Community Center is a youth development organization that provides programs for youth, parents, and families in and around San Francisco’s Mission District. The Loco Bloco artistic programs are rooted in the culture, music, theater, and dance of Afro Latino traditions. Each year, more than 400 youth are served in the program’s more than 290 classes and workshops, and youth perform before tens of thousands of people in large-scale Mission District art events, including Carnaval, and the Day of the Dead procession. Support for Jamestown Community Center’s Loco Bloco program supports the Performing Arts Program’s Youth strategy.
