ISKME advances equity and access to high-quality OER among organizations, state consortia, schools, and global institutions. ISKME brings its long-term commitment to two main areas: enhancing OER access and engagement for teaching and learning; and increasing flexibility in how resources and knowledge are shared across learning contexts. ISKME’s work will include expanding its technical infrastructure to support digital libraries to curate and disseminate quality content, and convening educators and their communities to improve teaching and learning through open educational practice.

As a recognized leader in information and library science, ISKME is committed to improving access and flexibility around how resources and knowledge are shared. The next phase of their work will better enable equitable integration of OER and open educational practice across contexts by expanding their role in research and community building, improving technical infrastructure for digital libraries in the curation and dissemination of quality content, and collaborating with educators and communities to improve teaching and learning.
