for general operating support
ISKME is an independent nonprofit whose mission is to improve the practice of continuous learning, collaboration, and change in the education sector. As a pioneer in bringing advancements in information and library science into the development of digital infrastructure, ISKME is committed to increasing how open education practice can be more effectively accessed and shared across learning contexts. The next phase of their work will focus on strengthening their models and infrastructure by engaging the wider community to participate in a more robust and interoperable platform, enhanced by a new open-source interface, and best-in-class professional learning. Additionally, a new research and innovation lab and the implementation of agile processes better position ISKME to support and scale the adaptive and transformative use of open educational resources that will benefit diverse students and educators around the globe. for support of the #GoOpen National Network
ISKME works to increase understanding of open educational approaches that can improve the relevance, inclusiveness, and accessibility of teaching and learning experiences. ISKME is facilitating a transition in leadership of the federal #GoOpen initiative. With this grant, ISKME will form a collaborative coalition to support a renewed national, community-led K-12 open education network. ISKME will convene key partners and champions from the community to develop a strategic plan and pilot key components of the plan with the goal of elevating K-12 open education nationally. (Substrategy: Field Building)
for sponsorship of K-12 Voices for Open
ISKME works to increase understanding of open educational approaches that can affect the relevance, inclusiveness, and accessibility of teaching and learning experiences. To broaden K-12 engagement in open education, specifically at the district leadership level, ISKME will offer a set of convenings that focus on co-designing and piloting a community-facilitated professional learning model in collaboration with districts. The outcome will be a model that can support districts in their development of systemwide adoption of open education, including their goals to address diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
