Ipas is a global organization working in more than fifteen countries to strengthen the quality of abortion services within the legal framework and liberalize the policy environment that regulates these services. This grant will allow Ipas to: (a) increase access to quality reproductive health services by training local health providers, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa; (b) collaborate with ministries of health to interpret abortion policy in the broadest way possible; and (c) use research and evidence to advocate for policies to increase access to safe abortion services.

for general operating support
Ipas works to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights by enhancing women’s and girls’ access to and use of safe abortion and contraception. Ipas represents the primary global vanguard organization in the safe abortion sector, using a multifaceted approach that includes legal reform, health system strengthening, and community education and engagement.
