For Support To Civil Society Advocacy Coalitions In West Africa

Overview
IntraHealth International, Inc. facilitates the Strengthening Civil Society Engagement for Family Planning in West Africa project from their offices in Mali. This grant will allow IntraHealth to implement the final phase of the project, which will deepen family planning advocacy efforts by coalitions across all nine Francophone West African countries. This work complements the goals of the Ouagadougou Partnership and brings together civil society advocates, religious leaders, young people, and other members of civil society to more effectively promote the provision of family planning through improved policies and strategies.

for support of applying behavioral insights to improve FPRH services in rural Uganda  
This grant will extend IntraHealth International’s partnership with Behavioral Ideas Lab (ideas42) and the Ugandan Ministry of Health to implement the Scale-up and Capacity-Building project that aims to improve the uptake of family planning and reproductive health (FPRH) services in the eastern region. The project will implement a male engagement intervention, informed by behavioral science, to transform gender norms, increase family planning uptake, and test it against a standard social and behavior change intervention. The partnership also equips IntraHealth staff in East Africa to understand and utilize behavioral science methods to strengthen the quality and utilization of family planning services across the subregion.
