Overview
The Internationals Network provides quality education for immigrants and refugees by growing and sustaining a network of innovative schools and by supporting school districts and educators serving multilingual learners. The organization recently expanded services to students in the Bay Area and has actively been pursuing a statewide strategy. This grant will support the development of a California strategic growth plan; seek community, youth, and educator voices in school expansion; and identify new partner districts. Internationals Network designs, develops, and supports schools and programs for recently arrived immigrants and refugees. Through coaching, conferences, institutes, and professional development offerings, Internationals Network seeks to stimulate the very core principles they advocate for in classrooms and schools. This is one of ten grants to members of the Deeper Learning Network to showcase exemplary schools, nurture the deeper learning movement, prepare for school site visits by decision makers, and integrate Common Core standards into their curricula.
