Overview
The success of our efforts to promote a learning goal in the post-2015 global development policy framework will depend on strong champions behind the "cause" of learning. The Pan-African Reading for All Conference is the largest and most prestigious international literacy conference organized by Africans in Africa. This grant would fund African participants to attend the conference and would support a pre-conference meeting with ministers of education and other key partners to develop common goals and strategies for literacy improvement. We expect this work will create the road map for future action to improve learning, as well as the network of education professionals and policymakers necessary to make it happen.
