This grant will support the Global Health, Youth and Development and the Gender, Economic Empowerment, and Livelihoods portfolios at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) to strengthen the evidence base on the intersections between sexual and reproductive health and rights and the livelihood challenges of women and girls in Africa. During the grant period, ICRW will (a) conduct high-quality, innovative research on the connections between these two fields; (b) strengthen the capacity of its Africa regional office to conduct policy-oriented research and engage stakeholders to understand and use findings; and (c) cultivate partnerships with researchers and policy advocacy groups in Africa and globally.
