Overview
The Institute for Climate and Society is the foundation’s main in-country partner for climate mitigation efforts in Brazil. The Institute evolved from the Latin America Regional Climate Initiative, a collaboration among ClimateWorks Foundation, Oak Foundation, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation. The Institute has established itself as a country convener, coordinator, and regranter, and now works with Brazilian foundations such as Arapyaú Institute. The Institute seeks to improve its capacity to engage at the national and sub-national level on climate mitigation programs.
