Grants to this Grantee
for a program to support rural women and youth in the governance of land and natural resources
Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale (IPAR) is a policy research institution that strives to contribute to the economic and social development of Senegal and the West Africa region through research, capacity building, and policy dialogue. IPAR’s approach is mainly based on the following: (a) generating timely, context-specific, and policy-relevant research; (b) analyzing the effectiveness of policies and programs; (c) strengthening capacity of key stakeholders that would otherwise be marginalized or excluded from the policy process; and (d) creating an enabling environment for policy dialogue by building bridges among scholars, civil society, government, and citizens. IPAR has identified inclusive governance focusing on women and youth in rural area as a critical development priority in the Senegalese context. Through this grant, IPAR will support inclusive governance and access to natural resources for rural women and youth. (Strategy: Inclusive Governance)
